Public service of Wallonia

The goal of the Public service of Wallonia is to implement the policy established by the Walloon government, within the scope and fields under its remit. It is also the primary interface between regional and citizen institutions. Through the multiple initiatives led and measures implemented within the framework of regional skills, the SPW is also an essential partner for the local authorities.

It has around 10,000 people allocated to the central departments in Namur and the decentralised departments in Wallonia and Brussels. It comprises eight bodies:

  • General secretariat
  • SPW Budget, logistics and information and communications technology
  • PSW Mobility and infrastructure
  • PSW Agriculture, natural resources and the environment
  • PSW Land, housing, heritage and energy
  • PSW Interior and social action
  • PSW economy, employment and research
  • PSW Tax
