Summary
Any person who is a national of a Member State of the European Union or of any other State to which Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications applies, and who has obtained their professional qualifications as an escort in a Member State other than Belgium, may have their professional qualifications recognised by the administration, with a view to exercising the activity of escort in the Walloon Region.

Application for an identification card
The identification card is proof that you meet the requirements for being an escort for exceptional transport.

You can request your identification card via the application form. Documents should be sent by email to te@spw.wallonie.be.
The cost of an identification card is €28.
14 working days from the date of receipt of the form.
- Identity card or proof of nationality
- For Belgian nationals: an extract from the criminal record (model 596.1-35): model intended for the exercise of a regulated activity (e.g. taxi driver, private detective, football steward, etc.) You must send it in PDF format.
For people of other nationalities: download, complete and return the ‘Declaration of honour’ document available on our website. - A copy of the attestation of professional competence: This clearly shows that the certificate of professional competence relates to the escorting of abnormal loads; This provides contact details for the government, or the agency designated by the government, that issued the document.
