Wallonia is currently carrying out several plans in a variety of fields, such as sustainable development, the fight against poverty, project funding, etc. Most of these plans have a fixed duration.

Eat Tomorrow
Adopted by the Walloon Government on 30 November 2018, the Eat Tomorrow Strategy aims to coordinate, connect and facilitate local and regional food initiatives. It provides Wallonia with a global vision, a working methodology and a targeted work plan on a priority theme for the next three years: Green Deal Sustainable Cantines collective catering. The Food Wallonia action plan, a new employment-environment alliance on food, is also part of this strategy.

Walloon Waste-Resource Plan (PWD-R)
The Walloon Waste-Resource Plan (PWD-R) was adopted by the Walloon Government on 22 March 2018 and constitutes both the waste management plan and the waste prevention programme. The aim of the Plan is to guide and structure Walloon policy on waste-resources and public cleanliness over the next ten years. The PWD-R is placed in the perspective of a circular economy and considers prevention and waste management as a vector of resource preservation and economic and social development.

Poverty Reduction Plan (2020-2024)
The Walloon Government adopted its Poverty Exit Plan in November 2021. It aims to offer each Walloon citizen the progressive means to get out of poverty, through access to basic comfort and access to employment. It therefore focuses on access to socio-professional integration, housing and well-being for all.

Digital Wallonia plan (2019–2024)
Wallonia’s digital strategy is ambitious and innovative. Digital Wallonia is a comprehensive project to transform the region, the economy and society, in order to develop its appeal, competitiveness and the well-being of its citizens. The plan is based around five themes: the digital sector, the digital economy, digital administration, the digital region and digital skills.

Walloon investment plan (2019–2024)
This plan invests five billion euros in various fields of public activity and is based around three main pillars: mobility, energy and innovation-research. In total, 31 projects have been proposed, from help with companies' energy transitions to the deployment of smart meters and the construction of new nurseries. Public-private partnerships provide 2.8 billion euros.
European funding (2014–2020)
The entire Walloon region may benefit from the contribution of the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), which co-finances projects that aim to strengthen the competitiveness and the innovative potential of Walloon companies, promote the sustainable development of towns and cities, support the transition to a low-carbon Wallonia and ensures the life-long adequacy of education and work.
Third Walloon Sustainable Development Strategy
The Third Walloon Sustainable Development Strategy (SWDD), entitled "Together Towards the Sustainable Development Goals!" was adopted by the Walloon Government on 22 September 2022. It commits all regional Ministers to accelerating the implementation of the global sustainable development programme by 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Wallonia.
